Through the Brain Barrier

09/12/2008 - 09/14/2008

Weekend Retreat with Neville Hodgkinson, author and journalist

September 12-14, Friday 6:00 pm to Sunday 4:00 pm

Explore how meditation as a discipline can free us from negative conditioning in our brains and release creativity and joy.

In today’s turbulent world, many suffer deeply as a result of some loss in life, whether of a loved person or valued role, or a quality such as trust or compassion or respect.  The pain is real and the damage to our lives lasting when we do not understand why it happens, where it comes from, and how to remove it.

In this retreat we will learn:

¬       How to move freely between three levels of being – physical, mental, and spiritual

¬       How negativity takes root inside us, and how to remove it

¬       How to be kind to your mind: non-violent communication as a tool for self-transformation

¬       Insights from brain science into the power of a still mind

¬       How to remove “neural static” and connect with the Divine

Facilitator: Neville Hodgkinson is an author and journalist who has worked as medical and science correspondent of several national newspapers in the UK. Solving the Riddle of Love

10/03/2008 - 10/05/2008

Weekend Retreat with Prashant Kakoday, MD

October 3-5, Friday 6:00 pm to Sunday 4:00 pm

"Do we lose love or does love lose us?
Why does love seem to come and go, rise and fall, flourish and fade?

In modern times, we are encouraged to keep going at all costs - rather than allow much needed, inner healing to take its course. Explore the powers that are the source of our well-being, powers that come from inside the self and are of long term benefit: love, happiness, forgiveness, and silence. Unconditional love opens new and unlimited horizons. Happiness helps us surmount the storms and learn life's lessons. The power of forgiveness allows us to create anew. Silence is simplicity - it creates solutions and is the way to the Divine.

In this retreat we will explore the huge benefits of learning to be kind to myself. Topics covered; The four steps to self love; Exploring what it is that blocks love; Experiencing my higher self and the Source of Love and Creating healthy boundaries. There will be sharing on the topics, conversations, writing, reflection, meditation, creative expression and lots of fun.

Facilitator: Dr. Prashant has spent the last 15 years understanding and teaching holistic principles of life, health and consciousness. He is the Director of the Center for Integral Health in Cambridge, UK
